Understanding Labs and Food for Mental Health

This is the first in a series of three online trainings to learn how labs can assist us in improving our patients' lives. The format includes a 30-minute discussion about a lab, followed by 30 minutes for questions and case discussion.

The lab discussed in this first training will be Ferritin and how is helps distinguish fatigue from depression.

The trainings are scheduled for the second Friday of the next three months: July 15th, August 12th and September 9th, from 7:30 to 8:30 am Pacific time. The trainings are limited to 24 participants.

We use GoToMeeting for the webinars and the link will be included in your registration confirmation. If you have never used this service before and you need assistance, we have developed instructions for connecting to GoToMeeting to guide you.

GOALS OF SANE To increase the number of individuals who can advocate for optimal brain performance through caring for ourselves and others. These educational sessions are created for professionals who help individuals to excel. This includes but is not limited to therapists, nurse practitioners, coaches, consultants, court officials, and executives. INFORMED CONSENT I understand that Kristen Allott, through her companies Dynamic Paths, Inc. (“Kristen Allott”), provides training and informational sessions, including Optimizing Brain Performance (“Educational Sessions”) that focus on understanding: • the physiology of the body and brain; • how the body influences emotions and how emotions influence the body; • research around cognitive performance, physiology, food, exercise, sleep, meditation, and healthy relationships. I also understand that these Education Sessions are intended for educational and informational purposes only, and should in no way be understood to constitute medical or mental health treatment of any kind. I understand that my participation in these Educational Sessions does not create a psychotherapist/client relationship, nor a physician/patient relationship, nor does it create any legal privilege. I understand that Kristen Allott will provide me with a referral to an appropriate health care provider if I request such a referral, or if she recognizes my need for such a referral. RELEASE OF IMAGE AND VOICE RECORDINGS I understand that Kristen Allott makes use of image and voice recordings (“Recordings”) of Educational Sessions for training purposes and to develop other useful content and products. Since dialogue is a much better form of learning than is monologue, Kristen Allott will be creating Recordings of courses to capture the information and dialogue and she will minimize the recording of individual faces when practicable. By participation in this Educational Session, I hereby grant Kristen Allott, and any sublicensees, the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sublicensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, redistribute, transmit, perform and display any or all of such Recordings (in whole or part) throughout the world and to incorporate such in other works and in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such Recordings for any purpose whatever, including, but not limited to, creating and marketing products, information, or services using such information. I understand that while I am not required to consent to the creation and use of such Recordings, my participation in the Educational Sessions provided by Kristen Allott may be contingent on my provision of such consent.
